the holy dude comment in time:)
i really liked an article i recently read in Time magazine. It can be found here
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1887728,00.html
It is a very good read and written with lot of passion and kind of poetic tone and I needed a quite time on the weekend to really appreciate it.
Anyhow, the quote that made me laugh aloud was this:
“Only six months ago, we thought we might be on the verge of a remarkable new era — thanks to the possible election of Obama. It is bizarre how secondary that epochal change now seems. It’s as if Jesus had returned — but just afterward extraterrestrials landed, and as a result everybody stopped paying much attention to the holy dude.”
Enjoy:)
Week in India
Had a good week in India. Good meetings in Bangalore and then quality time with family in Delhi. Bought a car and a full HD LCD for mom and dad. Now hoping that in the next few years India will get full HD signal to make the most of it:). BTW already given up hope that the streets of Delhi would make driving the car enjoyable…oh well. Also my brother was kind enough to come hang out with me from Hyderabad. He is a character, cowboy in software world:)
Also found time to watch “Delhi 6”, eat gol gappas, do some shopping, go to “Bangla Sahib”, Janpath, my barber, eat everything mom had cooked for me, debated with Dad about anything and everything:) and much more.
Good week. Busy couple of weeks ahead.
